The Cinnamon Cap Mushroom

Pholiota adiposa

This culinary marvel grows long stems from a cluster base that each develop their own cap.  The cap of this mushroom has a rich golden hue that is accented by a cinnamon coloring, hence the name.  It has a deep mushroom flavor with a crisp nutty undertone.  The stem, along with the cap of this mushroom is tender when cooked, providing for an excellent soup or roasting dish ingredient.

Bobby's favorite dish:  Cut up mushrooms and your favorite vegetables.  Coat with a small amount of oil, salt and pepper.  Roast in the oven at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for 10 minutes.  Simply delicious!
